Bluetooth MIDI: Pair Your Piano in 60 Seconds

Tap a button in the browser, pick your piano, you're paired. No system Bluetooth setup needed.

> ⚠️ Update (2026-06): Microphone and Bluetooth input have been retired. Super Simple Piano now focuses exclusively on USB MIDI for the most reliable practice experience. See our USB MIDI setup guide for the current recommended flow.

Bluetooth MIDI looks intimidating but it's the easiest way to pair a piano in 2026. No system Bluetooth menu, no MIDI driver, just one click in the browser.

What is BLE MIDI?

BLE MIDI is the Bluetooth Low Energy MIDI protocol. Most digital pianos from the last 5 years support it: Yamaha CK-61 / P-525 / YDP-S55, Casio PX-S, Roland Go:Piano / FP-30X, KORG B2N, and many more.

Pair it in three steps

  • Put the piano in pairing mode (usually a long press of a button labelled Bluetooth or BT)
  • Open Super Simple Piano in Chrome, Edge, or Opera
  • Tap the Bluetooth button in the floating panel
  • The browser opens its native chooser. Pick your piano. Done.

What you should see after pairing

The Bluetooth icon turns blue and the badge flips to 🟢 Performance mode, every note you play is now graded in real time.

Why it's simpler than system Bluetooth

You don't need to add the piano in macOS / Windows Bluetooth settings. Web Bluetooth pairs the device directly to the browser tab. Disconnect when you close the tab; reconnect with one click next time.

What to do if nothing appears

  • Make sure the piano is in pairing mode (not just powered on)
  • Confirm you're in Chrome / Edge / Opera on desktop, or Chrome on Android, Safari and Firefox don't support Web Bluetooth
  • For harder cases, see the Bluetooth MIDI troubleshooting guide.

One click, one piano, instant grading. See the full setup walk-through or try it on any song.

    Ready to start playing?

Put it into practice with thousands of color-coded, slow-down-able songs, free in your browser.
