And when the (C)moon light (C)peeps a cross the (G)roof tops of this great (A)cit y, won drous though it (C)be. The folks I (Dm)love a (G7)round the turf fire (C)gath ered on bend ed (D)knee their (D7)ro sa ry is (G)told. But dreams don’t (C)last though (C)dreams are not for (Gmaj7)got ten and soon I’m (A7)back to stern re a li (Dsus)ty.
