Lyrics

The first time

ev er I (C)saw your face,

I thought the sun

rose in your eyes,

and the moon

and the stars

were the (C)gifts you gave

to the dark

and the end of the (C)skies.

The first time

ev er I (C)kissed your mouth,

I felt the earth

move in my hand,

like the trem

bling the heart

of a (C)cap tive bird

that was there

at the my com the (C)skies.

(C)mand,

my love.

and last

till the end of time,

my love.

The first time

ev er I (C)saw

your face,

your face,

your face,

your (C)face.
